Making a Difference
We all want to make a difference in the world and often see our small efforts as not making a dent in the larger picture. Giving to the church is doing God's work and is a way to see a definite difference in the world and the local community. Giving what we can, when we can, to support God and the church when God gives back to us tenfold in his bounty. Proverbs 3:9-10 tells us specifically of this.
How much should I give?
The widow in the story of the two coins gave the last of what she had (Mark 12:41-44). We accept any and all donations, no matter how small or large. Every little bit counts, whether it's $5 or ten times that.
Do you believe in tithing?
Yes, we are a tithing church. Tithing—or giving a tenth—is a Biblical principle supported Leviticus 27 and also mentioned in the New Testament. The LORD gives so much to us and asks so little of us in return. Tithing shows our love of Him and his church, and we are given back tenfold.
