“To be in the clouds,” in Biblical times, meant to be in the presence of God.  Reverend Averill goes through examples of climbing mountains, entering clouds, and being in the presence of God.  She then explores the transfiguration (going into God’s presence and coming out with your face shining) in the case of Jesus, Moses, and Elijah.
